POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an investigation into a courier fraud offence on a woman in her 80s.
The arrest resulted from a partnership operation involving Avon and Somerset Police and three other forces,
The 23-year-old man arrested is suspected of conspiracy to commit fraud including on the elderly woman in Ilchester, South Somerset, in May last year.
The man was taken into custody as part of a joint operation with officers from Dorset, Hertfordshire and The Metropolitan Police.
A social media post from Hertsmere Police says two people have been arrested and a "significant amount of cash" seized as part of the operation.
