A CHRISTMAS tree festival is taking place in one Somerset town next month.
The festival, at The Minster Church in Ilminster, will open its doors on November 29 2021.
Charities, schools and local businesses are asked to decorate a Christmas tree or crib scene that will then be displayed in the church.
There will be individual collecting tins for different charities, so visitors will have the chance to donate to a worthy cause.
Visitors will be able to have a look at the trees while listening to festive music.
A spokesperson for the event said: "The Minster is hoping to hold its annual Christmas Tree Festival in the church once more.
"After an on-line version of the festival was held last year, there are many people wanting to enter a tree in this sparkling event."
The show will run from November 29 until December 4.
On Monday it will be open from 11am until 6pm. From Tuesday until Friday, guests can visit from 9am until 6pm, and on Saturday the doors will be open from 9am until 3pm.
There will also be a shining stars service to remember loved ones at 3pm on December 4.
