A NEW food and craft market is set to start next month in South Somerset.
The market, held at Donyatt Village Hall, near Ilminster, is to showcase small local businesses.
Fiona Fforde, an organiser of the market, said it is 'time to rally round' and support the business 'on our doorstep'.
"With more than 20 stalls to choose from there is something for everyone," she said.
"There will be meats, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, cakes, plants, handmade gifts and useful items for the home - to name a few.
"There is a cafe with homemade cakes and coffee, plus a food truck from Riverside Farm Shop, who will be bringing their famous sausages for you to try."
Riverside Farm Shop source their meat from local producers, and have their own herd of waygu beef and meadow fed lamb.
They create a diverse menu that also includes vegetarian and vegan options.
Another stall that will be there is Lily and Lynn's handmade soaps - a team of Clare and Lynn, both biomedical scientists, who met at a pathology laboratory in Taunton.
They have 15 different varieties of soaps, and a range of solid shampoo and conditioner bars.
The food and craft market is set to launch on Saturday, October 16 from 9am until noon.
