A DETACHED bungalow in Somerset caught fire this morning (September 3).
Firefighters from Ilminster, Crewkerne and Somerton attended the incident on Owl Street, East Lambrook, South Petherton at around 5am.
The Crewkerne crew attended the incident as they were standing by at Yeovil Fire Station, as the Yeovil fire engine was attending to another incident.
When the crews arrived, smoke and flames were coming from a single storey detached bungalow
"The bungalow measured approximately 5m x 12m of brick and tile construction," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"The building was unoccupied and disused.
"Fire crews used two hose reel jets, one 45mm jet, and one 75mm jet to extinguish the fire, and a thermal image camera to check for hotspots."
