DEBUTANT Lachlan Rice, 14, took five wickets on his debut for Ilminster CC on the weekend.
In the last fixture of the season, Ilminster beat Midsomer Norton at home by 104 runs, thanks to the incredible debut performance.
The home side won the toss and elected to bat posting a score of 189 off 43.1 overs.
The best with the bat on the day for Ilminster was Ben Johnston, who scored 45 runs off 56 balls.
Openers Dario Boyce and George Hayward got the scoring off to a steady pace and the middle order made sure of achieving a tough score to beat.
Midsomer Norton struggled with the bat throughout their innings, with their highest scoring batsman only reaching 13 runs.
James Pryman and Richard Elswood took two wickets a piece for Ilminster but it was the 14-year-old Rice who stole the show.
He took the wickets of the remaining five batsman for Midsomer Norton, stopping their innings total reaching triple digits.
The away side were all out for 85, giving the win to Ilminster.
The season ends with Ilminster sitting in eighth place in the West of England Premier League Prem2 Bristol & Somerset division.
