A FARM shop and deli has won a top award - for the third year in a row.
The Trading Post Farm Shop in Lopenhead, near South Petherton, has won a Muddy Stiletto Award for The Best Farm Shop and Deli in Dorset and Somerset.
Kate and Andy took over the farm shop in 2017. The shop has grown over the past few years, with the pair adding a West Country cheese deli, a zero waste food and toiletries refill room, a milk vending machine, and a new garden centre area.
Kate said she was delighted customers voted and helped them to win the award.
"The Muddy Stilettos are our very favourite award platform, and not just because we have won it for the last three years, but because it is one of the only awards that don’t require you to big yourself up, writing essays on how great your shop is and how much money you take," she said.
"The Muddy Awards are purely down to our fabulous customers voting for us and it is this that makes winning so much more special - especially in a year when we have had so many sleepless nights about how we can continue to serve our amazing community."
Muddy Stilettos started in 2011 in Buckinghamshire by journalist Hero Brown. Now, the guide has moved to 23 counties - including Somerset.
Freelance writer, Sue, runs the site in Somerset and provides a guide to the best restaurants, shops and so on in the county.
