POLICE were called to the scene of TWO fires in a Somerset village this morning (July 4).
Three fire crews - from Martock, Ilminster and Yeovil - attended a development site off New Cross Hill, Kingsbury Episcopi, after a neighbouring property called 999.
"On arrival, crews confirmed there were two areas of fire in two different properties," a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said.
"We requested the police to attend.
"One fire involved the kitchen area of a property. The second property had a fire involving the front door, ground floor and insulation."
Crews used a range if equipment to tackle the blaze at around 4.25am.
