A FORMER teacher has raised nearly £1,000 for charity.
Rosie Reed, from Ilminster, decided to hold a coffee morning in her garden to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.
Mrs Reed, who taught at Greenfylde Church of England First School in Ilminster for 20 years, has been a dedicated primary school teacher most of her life. And despite her current ill-health, she is still putting children first by helping to raise money for this vital charity.
Carla Peasland, carer and friend of Mrs Reed, said everyone was ‘very proud’ of her dedication.
“She is such a selfless, amazing lady, who has really touched the lives of so many children in Ilminster throughout her teaching days,” she said.
“I wanted to share her achievement as I am, along with her family and friends, very proud of her continuing to help children.”
