A MERRIOTT man is to face trial over the death of a motorcyclist in a road traffic collision.
Christopher Banke, 72, will appear before a judge and jury at Bournemouth Crown Court on June 5 next year.
Banke appeared at the same court on October 27 to enter a formal plea.
He pleaded not guilty to one charge of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The case relates to an incident on October 10, 2021, in which Adrian Saunders, in his 50s and from Exeter, died following a crash on the A3066 Tunnel Road near Beaminster.
Banke, is accused of causing the death of Mr Saunders by driving a Landrover Freelander without due care and attention.
