ACCELERATE Trampoline and Gymnastics Club are celebrating success after three gymnasts won medals at the South West Regional Trampoline Competition last weekend.
The team comprised of Charlotte Vickery (17+), Anna Wheeler (11-12) and Chloe White (13-17).
In two routines, Charlotte won first place, bringing home a gold medal and hopefully securing her place on the South West team.
Anna placed third out of sixteen in her age group, winning a bronze medal in what was only her second competition and Chloe finished seventh out of a group of nearly thirty competitors.
Head coach Jacob Turner said: “I couldn’t be more proud, the girls have worked really hard and so deserve their success."
Accelerate Trampoline and Gymnastics is an exciting new club that celebrated its first birthday at the end of May.
In its first year the club gained over 225 members, who can now access trampoline, double mini trampoline and gymnastics at venues in Wellington sports centre, Blackbrook leisure centre in Taunton and Wadham school in Crewkerne.
The club has a growing team of coaches who are dedicated to inspiring young people in a friendly inclusive and fun environment.
Jacob also said: “Accelerate is my proudest achievement. Being able to deliver the sport to so many with such a unique philosophy makes me very happy indeed. We have a fun, inclusive environment and everyone is welcome.”
