Chard Rugby Football Club Ladies team is on the lookout for new players to join ahead of the winter season.
With training sessions held on Wednesday evenings at the Chard Equestrian Centre, and indoor fitness training on Monday evenings at the rugby club, the team is keen to welcome women of all skill levels.
Special guest coach, Liv McGoverne, an Exeter Chiefs and international player, will be lending her expertise to the sessions.
The club emphasises a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment, stating: "Come be a part of a team that feels like family—no rugby experience necessary, just a passion for fun, fitness, and a little bit of resilience to handle the endless banter."
The team is competing in the NC3 South West Central league and is hoping to inspire more women in the local area to take up the sport.
It believes the sport is beneficial for building fitness, strength, and resilience both physically and mentally.
The sessions are open to all women aged 18 and over, and the team offers a gentle and beginner-friendly induction for those new to the sport.
A Chard RFC Ladies spokesperson said: "We would love to inspire more women in the local area to take up this sport.
"We have a fantastic coaching team this season and can offer support to those new to the sport with a gentle and beginner-friendly induction."
