THE A358 from Furnham Church Road to junction with A30 in Chard is closed for the next two days due to National Grid works.
The National Grid has closed Furnham Road from Furnham Church Road to the junction with the A30 from November 18-22.
Traffic flow will be maintained for vehicles heading out of Chard towards Ilminster and Donyatt, however, traffic coming into Chard from this direction will be directed through Victoria avenue.

The works will include excavating a trench in the footpath to install a new cable for a new supply and a spare duct for future use if required.
Tonight (Wednesday, November 20) from 9pm Chard Town Council will be “completely closing the road” directly outside of the Chard substation to remove the old substation and land the new substation - this will take approximately two hours.
Chard Town Council said the road should have fully re-opened this Friday (November 22).
“We will still be working in the area after this date, but all work will be off of the highway,” a Chard Town Council spokesperson added.
