A CHARD author is launching the second book of a trilogy this month.
Gary Sweetland, author of Narcissus, will hold two launch events in Chard, one on October 11, and another on October 18.
Narcissus was the first book of a trilogy based on a detective trying to find a stolen Caravaggio painting rumoured to have resurfaced in London.
The title of the new book is NARCISSUS II, The Seven Acts of Mercy.
Money from entry tickets (£2) for the events, which will take place at the 5 Senses Café on Holyrood Street, from 7pm to 10pm, will be donated to the Chard Community Hub.
Gary said: “The book was very well received in the local area, and the support from members of the community went far beyond my expectations.
“My readers are eagerly anticipating the second book in the trilogy, which will be published on October 11, 2024.
“To coincide with this release, two launch events in Chard are planned for Fridays, October 11 and 18.
“All monies made from entry tickets will be donated to this year's chosen charity, Chard Community Hub.”
Tickets are available on all GNSbooks social media platforms or info@gnsbooks.com
