TWO prolific shoplifters have been arrested last week as officers conducted patrols in “high-demanded locations” in Chard and Crewkerne.
The South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team said officers also dealt with anti-social behaviour in several locations.
A spokesperson said: “Here's what the Chard and Crewkerne NPT have been up to on Friday, September 13:
“High-visibility patrols conducted around various high-demand locations
“Two prolific shoplifters arrested, with items recovered during the second arrest.
“Three key locations visited by our mobile police station to support communities with crime prevention advice
“Anti-social behaviour dealt with in multiple locations.
“Businesses and licensed premises visited around the town centre.
“A massive thank you to the Special Constabulary and the Frome NPT for assisting us this evening.”
