Chard Carnival Committee was pleased to see so many people come along and enjoy this year’s street fayre.
More than 60 stalls with various items and delicious food were set up. This year the team had two stages with lots of entertainment from artists to circus skills which meant there was something for everyone.
Jason Baker Chairman of Chard carnival said: "It was great to see such a variety of stalls and to see so many people, it’s a great opportunity to increase footfall in the town and showcase all that Chard has to offer.
I had some great feedback on the day, everyone was very positive and said how good it was to have community events in the town centre, we are now working hard on our main event of the year which is Chard carnival and it takes place on Saturday 12th October with a week of events running up to it.
Jason said that we always need lots of help and if you would like to get involved, please do get in contact.
