Chard Carnival Committee has been working hard all year supporting various events and partnering the Town Team & Museum to run the party in the park earlier this year.
The next event is the 4th annual Chard Carnival Street Fayre, it will be taking place along the length of Holyrood Street and the Library car park on Saturday September 7.
Once again there will be a good selection of stalls and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Jason Baker, chairman of Chard Carnival Committee has said that this year is set to be the biggest yet with over 60 stalls and two stages providing entertainment throughout the day, Jason went on to say that these events can only take place thanks to such a dedicated and hard-working team.
Stage 1 is located opposite Bath House and the line-up is
- 9.45am to 10am Royalty
- 10am to 10.30am Josh Matherick
- 10.30am to 11am Ilminster Dance icons
- 11am to 11.30am Josh Matherick
- 11.30am to 12pm Kelly Leigh
- 12pm to 12.30pm Stevie Brown
- 12.30pm to 1pm CLOKS
- 1pm to 1.30pm Frukes Ukulele Band
- 1.30pm to 2pm Stevie Brown
- 2pm to 2.30pm Frukes Ukulele Band
- 2.30pm to 3pm Blackdown Acapella
- 3pm to 3.30pm Chard Evolution Majorettes
- 3.30pm to 4pm Blackdown Acapella
Stage 2 is in the Library Carpark and the line-up is
- 10am to 11.30am Circus skills workshop
- 11.30am to 12.30pm hammerhead
- 12.30pm to 2pm circus skills workshop
- 2pm to 2.30pm chard concert brass
- 2.30pm to 3pm John Gudge
- 3pm to 3.30pm Chard Concert Brass
Chairman Jasn Baker said: "Stalls include everything from scrumptious foods to gifts and displays, there will also be a children’s area where you will find a bouncy assault course and slide as well as much much more. Chard Carnival illuminated procession will take place on Saturday 12th October with a week of events running up to it.
