Wessex Water are carrying out emergency works on East Street Chard outside The Church Hall.
Chard Town Council say they have received notification from Wessex Water that essential works will be carried out on the water supply network overnight from 7pm on Monday September 2 until Wednesday September 4.
This will involve closing the road to all through traffic with a diversion via Victoria Avenue and Furnham Road. A link to a map showing the diversion route is available on the Chard Town Council website.
Wessex Water says "We have indicated alternative routes will be clearly signposted and every effort will be made to maintain pedestrian access through the works. If you live where the works are being carried out you will still have pedestrian access to your property. There may be some noise whilst work is carried out and every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum and complete the works as quickly as possible."
If you have any questions about the work please call Wessex Water on 0345 600 4 600 or visit their website.
If you are a business or other non-household property you will need to contact your water retailer with any enquiries.
