THE Yeovil MP has addressed Parliament to urge Italian authorities to continue the search for a man from Chard who went missing in Sardinia.
Michael Frison, 25, from Chard, has gone missing following a walk in Sardinia on July 13.
His family launched a fundraising page to support the search effort on July 19, which has raised more than £3,000.
MP Adam Dance raised concerns during his first intervention in Parliament to urge the Italian authorities to continue to search for and find out what has happened to Michael.
On Tuesday, July 30, Adam Dance MP asked the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office to urge the Italian authorities to continue to search for and find out what has happened to Michael.
As a result, Adam met with the Minister of State at the FCDO, Stephen Doughty, and is in regular contact with both the Foreign Office and the UK Police to find ways of supporting and helping Michael's mother and his younger brother in their search.
Mr Dance said: "Michael is a constituent of mine and I was pleased to raise the issue of Michael's disappearance in the House of Commons last week.
“We now have Government attention which has led to further involvement both in the UK and in Italy to help Michael's mother Cristina find out what has happened to her son."
