Emery Newsagents in Chard has announced a change to its opening hours after one of their staff changed jobs.

Due to this change, the store will have new opening times starting from May 25. It will now be open from Sunday to Friday from 5am to 5pm and Saturdays from 5am to 6pm.

Also from Monday to Friday, they will be open from 7.30 to 9.30am the front door will be closed and ask shoppers to use the Parlour door.

In a post on Facebook, Emery Newsagents said: "It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that our longest member of staff of 11 years Justin Guest will be leaving our team in just under two weeks as he has found another job, we wish him all the best in all his future endeavours.

"He is more than a team member to us as he has been friends with Andrew since nursery school, going all the way up to secondary school together, partied in teens to 20’s ,been at each others weddings, seen the other have kids and so much more.

"We and I (Andrew) will miss having you around but I can’t wait to see what happens for you going forward. Love you buddy."
