A SCHOOL in Chard has paid tributes to a former teacher who died last month.
Manor School said they were informed that Mrs Alma Bird died peacefully on April 18.
A message from Manor School said: “We have been informed, by the family, that Mrs Alma Bird (a former Manor Court teacher, died peacefully on Thursday, April 18.
“She was 93 years old.
“If people wish to contact Alma’s family they can write to 17 Poplar Close, Wimborne, Dorset BH211TL.
“Messages of condolences can also be left on the Harbour View funeral home tribute page under her name.
“Her funeral is on May 10 at 11am at Harbour View, Lychett Minister, Poole, Dorset, and everyone is welcome.
“Alma specified that people can wear lovely bright colours.”
