SOMERSET Council’s Library Service will be briefly closing a number of its buildings next month.
The closures will take place to allow staff training and libraries in Chard, Ilminster, and Crewkerne, will close on May 17.
A Somerset Council spokesperson said: “This is to enable essential staff training as we implement a new library management system.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Dates, times, and venues are listed below.”
May 17
- Chard Library, closed 9.30-2pm
- Ilminster Library, closed all day
- Crewkerne Library, closed all day Other closures
May 13
- Frome Library, closed between 9.30-2.30pm
- Yeovil Library, closed from 12.30pm
- Wincanton Library, closed all day
- Martock Library, closed from 12pm
May 23
- Yeovil Library, closed from 12.30pm
May 24
- Taunton Library will be closed between 1.30pm-2.30pm
Any items due for renewal on those dates/sites will be renewed automatically.
