CHARD Rugby Club had a week off from league action but used it to train and prepare for the remaining matches this season.
Chard return to action this coming weekend when they travel to play Topsham which may be the first time that the club has played at that ground.
It will be another stiff task against a side currently in 4th place in the league.
Chard 2ndxv are also back in action next weekend when they entertain Wiveliscombe and both fixtures kick off at 2.30pm.
In other news at the club, two youngsters represented Somerset RFU at the weekend.
The two Chard RFC lads were Aiden Cable and Jake Bond who were both named in the starting XV for Somerset on Sunday in the match against Gloucestershire.
The match didn't go to plan for Somerset as Gloucestershire ran in 57-31 winners in their home match.
It was an entertaining battle though and both sets of U20 players did themselves and their clubs proud.
