TATWORTH Primary School enjoyed a fantastic World Book Day yesterday (Thursday, March 6) with a day full of activities.
The day started with a parade in the lower playground for families and children to enjoy.
Children and staff wore comfy clothes and outfits representing their favourite characters and authors and were invited to bring in one of their favourite books to share with their class throughout the day.
During the day KS1 enjoyed a book scavenger hunt with Mrs Mitcham whilst KS2 tested their knowledge fabulous book quiz during the morning.
At the start of the week, children were also invited to create a 'book in the box' with some wonderful creations.
The boxes will the entered into a competition and judged by the school governors next week.
The day ended with a reading bonanza after school in the library where teachers, staff, and families were able to read together, share their favourite stories, and swap books.
Headteacher Tracey Hart would like to thank the children, staff, and families for their time and hard work to make World Book Day such a special day.
Everybody looked tremendous in their outfits and as a self-confessed book worm, it was a real treat to see the children's enthusiasm during the day as they listened to new stories and shared old favourites.
