A HISTORIC school in Chard has made a new appointment.
Mrs Becky Pielesz has been appointed as the new Head of School.
Mrs Pielesz previously served Chard Prep School as Deputy Head and fully understands what is necessary for the school to reach its full potential.
A spokesperson for the school said: “The Governors of Chard Prep School have reformed to bring a greater set of skills to the school.
“These parent-based governors form a cross-section of families all with great experience and local knowledge.
“The school has restructured into a more suitable model to ensure staying open into the years ahead while continuing the excellent academic and sporting success of the past.
“We thank our outgoing team Mrs Katie Hill, Head Teacher, and Mr Matthew Sims, Deputy Head, for the years of service given to the school and wish them every success in the future.
“Join us at Chard Prep School's Open Day on Friday, March 15, from 9.30am to 2pm.
“Discover affordable private education with a 30 per cent fee reduction for the first year and a 15 per cent friend referral incentive.”
