A MUSIC teacher and vocalist who dreamed of starting her own school “for years and years” will soon hold classes in Chard.
Bethany Goodman will open ‘Bethany Brown’s School of Musical Theatre’ and hold lessons at Holyrood Academy from April.
The school will be for students aged 7-18, they will have group lessons in dance, singing, and drama which will be led by industry professionals.
Bethany said: “I’ve been a freelance music teacher for 12 years now, and a professional actress and vocalist for 13 years.
“This is the first time I’ve opened a full musical theatre school, it’s been a dream of mine for years and years and my goal was always to open it by the time I’m 30, which I will be in August.
“Our group singing, dance, and acting classes are led by industry professionals and are perfect for all ages and levels of experience.
“With opportunities for seasonal concerts, optional examinations, and even the chance to create showreels, headshots, and CVs, you'll gain valuable insight into the industry.
“Plus, with masterclasses led by current West End stars and UK touring artists, as well as trips to see live theatre events, you'll be fully immersed in the world of performing arts.
“Start your journey with us today.”
Classes will be from 9.30am to 12.30pm every Saturday (term time) and are £25 a week for three hours, per student.
