The application site in South Petherton is at the end of Mill Lane.
Consent was granted in the late 1980s for the conversion of the mill into residential dwellings, it is understood that this work was commenced but never fully completed and that due to the time which has now elapsed and the deterioration that has occurred to the building, it is no longer possible to implement the original 1980s scheme.
The current application therefore seeks listed building consent for a change of use of the former Grade II Listed Joylers Mill into a single residential dwelling set over four floors.
