A MAN has been arrested this afternoon (Friday, January 19) after handcuffing himself to railings in The Guildhall in Chard.
Police said they were called at 10am this morning and “efforts were made to engage” before a 54-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
The spokesperson also added “he was later de-arrested”.
The full statement read: “We were called at 10am this morning (January 19) to a report of a man handcuffing himself to railings in The Guildhall in Chard.
“Efforts were made to engage before a 54-year-old man was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of aggravated trespass. He was later de-arrested.”
