TWO libraries have joined a scheme to help residents keep warm this winter.
Chard and Ilminster libraries are encouraging people to donate their no longer needed coats through the ‘Wrap Up Warm’ scheme.
A message from Somerset Library said: “Do you have any coats you can donate in this cold weather? Or would you benefit from a free warm coat?
Chard and Ilminster libraries have reacted quickly to become part of the ‘Wrap Up Warm’ scheme and offer coats that have been donated by people in the community.
“The scheme is proving extremely popular, so if you have a coat that is no longer needed (adult or children's), please do consider donating it to our scheme by taking it to either library - thank you.”
The council also reminded residents that there are a few other libraries running this scheme – Taunton Library, and Yeovil Library.
More information can be found on the council’s website.
