ONE person has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle collision on the A358 near Chard.
The ambulance service and the police attended the scene of the incident at around 11.45 this morning (Monday, January 8) at Hornsbury Hill.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "The A358 has been reopened following a collision this morning (Monday, January 8).
"We were called at about 11.45am to Hornsbury Hill, near Chard, after a collision involving three vehicles.
"The ambulance service was also in attendance.
"A road closure was put in place while recovery work was carried out, but it has now fully reopened."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 11.48am on Monday, January 8 to a road traffic incident on the A358 near Chard.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
