THREE people were rescued from a car stuck in flood water on the A303 yesterday (Thursday, November 2).
Fire crews from Chard were called to the scene of the incident yesterday afternoon in Upottery and found a car stuck within three meters of water.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire control mobilised two crews from Chard to a report of a vehicle with three occupants stuck in flood water on the A303.
“Once in attendance, crews confirmed one car was stuck within three meters of water and donned on water rescue gear to rescue the occupants of the vehicle.
“Crews successfully rescued three people and requested the attendance of an ambulance and Highways for road closure.”
