HOLYROOD Academy in Chard is closing earlier today (Thursday, November 2) due to adverse weather conditions.
The school, which will close at 1.30pm, said the decision was made “to allow students and staff to travel home safely”.
A full statement read: “We have made the decision to close school early today to allow students and staff to travel home safely.
“The Bennett Building dining hall will remain open until 2.10pm for lunch service.
“There will be a small number of staff staying until 3.10pm in order to accommodate parents not being able to collect their children early.
“In this case, please could you let the school know by 12pm via telephone or email.”
