BROADWAY and Horton was buzzing last Saturday (September 2) at the first Broadbeat Music Festival.
Organised and hosted by Broadway and Horton Cricket Club, over 400 sun-soaked revellers of all ages were treated to a fabulous Rock and Roll All Dayer.
The lineup included vinyl DJs plus bands The Tuppenny Bunters, Planet Strange, The Sinictones, The Obscuritones, Palooka 5, and Camden-based four-girl fronted band The Trouble.
There was a packed bar, hog roast, wood-fired pizzas, in a large marquee, plus activities for all ages and stalls raising money for excellent causes.
Cricket club Chairman Jon Pike said: “It was a fabulous day with the sun shining and an incredible atmosphere. We’d like to thank all the local residents who supported us.
“We are a community club and all profits made will go back into support for our adult men and women’s teams and junior teams.”
Planning for next year’s event has already started and tickets will go on sale shortly.
