CHARD Town currently sit in 12th place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Premier Division.

That means they are two spots above the relegation zone as it stands, but it is a tight margin.

Currently on 25 points, Chard are just two points above Ilminster Town in 14th place.

There are four teams all battling to avoid the drop. As it stands there is only one more relegation spot undecided with Chard Town, Clutton, Ilminster Town and Watchet Town  all battling it out.

A spokesperson from Chard Town has said: "All the games left are crucial for us as we are needing points to keep us in the Uhlsport Premier Division.

"We currently have 25 points and our club stat man believes we need 30 to be safe."

Chard did play last night (Tuesday, April 25), however at the time of writing, that result is unknown.

At the weekend ahead, Chard take on Mendip Broadwalk First in what is their last home game of the season.

That match kicks off at 3pm at Zembard Lane on Saturday, April 29.

Following that match, Chard have two away matches against Chilcompton Sports and Wells City Reserves remaining.
