A POPULAR Reggae night is coming back to Chard.
Reggae Night is a live band performance that uses “real reggae music to captivate the audience's hearts and minds”—the first year of the yearly celebration welcomed over 150 guests.
Back by popular demand, Troy Ellis & His Hail Jamaica Band will be rocking the town of Chard with original music and cover versions from some of the greatest pioneers of reggae music.
Due to its past success, this year's effort will support mental awareness, social awareness, cultural involvement, love, and unity. The Love Musgrove charity will receive all the money raised.
This year's event will be more significant and better with a turntable DJ to set the mood before and during intermission and maintain the energy after the band.
Ellis and his band created waves on a platform such as London's Royal Albert Hall, Jazz World Stage, and Glastonbury Festival, to name a few. There are now two more acts on the schedule.
Food will be available to purchase from a mobile Caribbean cuisine as well as a wide range of drinks.
Gifts are appreciated because there will be a raffle, and expenses are estimated to be £4000.
Reggae Night will conduct a drawing from raffle ticket sales to raise money for the charity.
The event will take place on September 23, 2023, at Chard Cricket Ground.
