A DRIVER has been fined for parking on zig-zags in Chard town centre.
South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing were on patrol in the town centre when they found the car contravening the pelican crossing.
A police spokesperson said the parking was ‘dangerous and inconsiderate to members of the public’.
The spokesperson also said: “The Neighbourhood Police Team were on patrol in the town centre where they found the vehicle parked clearly contravening the pelican crossing.
“This is dangerous and inconsiderate to members of the public and PCSO Lu asks drivers to respect the zig-zags when parking in the town centre.”
This offence carries a fine of £100 and three penalty points.
