A GROUP of students from Chard is joining fundraising activities to volunteer in Cambodia.
Year 11 students at Holyrood Academy will be travelling to Cambodia this summer where they will stay for four weeks with Camps International.
On Saturday, April 22, they will join a car wash to raise funds for their trip.
A spokesperson said: “They will spend time living and working in rural communities on building projects to benefit the local people, reforestation projects, conservation and much more.
“This is a life-changing experience for the boys. And in order for them to take part, they need to raise nearly £4000 each, which is why they are diving into fundraising activities.
“The students will take part in a charity car wash day at Chard Tesco and very excitingly and they have the support of Chard Fire Station."
The car wash will take place on Saturday, April 22, at Chard Tesco car park from 9am.
More information are available on the Camps Intl website.
