A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after a collision between a bike and a car near Ilminster.
The accident took place yesterday (Sunday, February 26) on the A303 westbound at around 10.25pm.
The cyclist was taken to hospital and police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road reopened in the early hours of this morning (Monday, February 27), the force also said.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "A collision between a bike and a car on the A303 westbound was reported to us shortly before 10.25pm last night (Sunday 26 February).
"The cyclist was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"The road was reopened in the early hours of this morning."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 22.24hrs on Sunday 26 February to a road traffic collision in the Ilminster area.
“We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, and an operations officer. We conveyed one patient to Southmead Hospital.”
