THIS week Chard Road Runners were off to another local landmark for the Wellington Monument 10k.
The rise in temperature had not kicked in just yet, as you can tell from the photo of Wayne Alexander Loveridge and Emma Male huddled for warmth pre race.
The race went as planned for both CRRs, with Wayne taking 1st overall in a time of 36:12 and Emma taking home a course PB and her age category first finisher trophy in a time of 54:06.
A spokesperson for the club said: "As always, if you're keen to join in you can find us at Chard Cricket Club at 7pm every Tuesday and Thursday. We have groups which can cater for all abilities.
"This week I expect us to be doing the Christmas pub run on Tuesday where we take in some Christmas lights and a cheeky mid run pint, before heading back to the club house for 3 pint Tuesday."
