REGENERATION works to a hedge line in Ilminster will take place in the coming weeks.
The town council said its grounds team will undertake the work near Canal Way to provide a better habitat for birds and small mammals.
A group of volunteers will also take part to help the council's team.
A message shared on Facebook by Ilminster Town Council said: “Over the coming weeks our grounds team, with the help of our volunteers, will be undertaking some regeneration works to the hedge line along Canal Way.
“At first, this may look a little harsh, but once laid in a traditional manner, will provide a great habitat for birds and small mammals and allow the hedge to continue to grow for years to come.
“Thank you for your understanding while we carry out this important work.”
