A SECONDARY school held an open evening to show its facilities to prospective students and parents.
The event took place at Holyrood Academy in Chard on Thursday, October 6.
Holyrood Academy opened its doors to Year 6 children and their parents, welcoming them to their open evening.
The evening was an opportunity for prospective students and their parents to hear from the school's headteacher, Mr Dave MacCormick, who spoke about the excellent education the school provides and the exciting developments in store for the school over the next year, including over £7m of new buildings and refurbishments.
It was also a great opportunity to tour the school's facilities, meet the staff team, look at the work that current students complete, and generally get a feeling of what it is like to be a student at the school.
The Year 8 student guides escorted the visitors around the classrooms where there was a multitude of different demonstrations, displays, food tasting, and interactive events taking place.
Holyrood Academy would like to thank everybody who attended.
