CHARD Town Council will host a consultation on plans to develop the Upper Henson play area, giving residents a chance to get their opinions across.
The consultation will take place on Wednesday, September 28 between 5pm and 7.30pm at The Guildhall (Fore Street).
A town council spokesperson said: “Have a look at the proposed plans to develop Upper Henson play area and voice your opinion to make this an exciting, fit for the community play space.”
The town council has been working with Wicksteed Leisure on the proposals to improve the play area.
The council has consulted with schools and other public organisations and has pledged to seek public feedback on the plans.
The play area will be aimed at children aged between five and 13 to “challenge, engage and attract users” and encourage socialisation.
If successful, the proposals would bring a basket swing, a rock n' bowl, a treetop towers unit, a surf rider, stepping logs, and a five-a-side football goal to the park.
There is also an online survey inviting Chard residents to leave their feedback, but this is expected to close “soon”.
