THE Creepy Crawly crafting session for toddlers was held earlier this month at Chard Reservoir.
This is one of two sessions run at Chard Reservoir this summer, for which the targeted age range is 2-5.
These sessions are aimed at young audiences and are packed with as many activities as possible into the 9:30 to 11.
On Tuesday they started off with sweep netting (looking for bugs in the meadows), before kick sampling (looking for creepy crawlies in the brook), clay modelling and making minibeast mansions.
Aside from this, at Chard Reservoir, they are also running a ‘Nature at Night’ children’s bat walk event (tonight), and a free drop-in session ‘Bug Bonanza’ from 10 to 3pm on August 19.
The group is also running events at Yeovil Country Park and Ham Hill Country Park.
The best way to find out what the group is up to is to like all their Facebook pages to see the posters or details under ‘events’.
Anyone interested can also find out about events on the new ‘Visit South Somerset’ webpage.
Here is a selection of photos from the event.
