BRITAIN’S Disabled Strongman competition took place in Chard last weekend.
The event took place on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31 at Holyrood Academy.
Britain’s Disabled Strongman was founded by support worker Gary Clarke in 2015.
Thanks to his hard work, local sponsors, and United Response’s involvement, this year’s event took place across two days.
Men and women tested their strength by competing in multiple weightlifting challenges over the two days.
The challenges included deadlift, dumbbell press, axel press, atlas stones, and sled pull.
Gary said: “I would like to firstly say a massive thank you to you all for joining us on what is the seventh annual Britain’s Disabled Strongman competition.
“I’d also like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has played a part in this year’s event, from sponsors both national and local to volunteers and helpers, without you it simply would not be possible.”
