YEOVIL Rotary Club is expecting plenty of interest in a fundraising dinner and presentation it is hosting next month.
The event is taking place on Tuesday, August 30, at Long Sutton Golf Club, in Long Load, Langport.
The guest speaker at the evening is Chris Hocking, who is the project director of the famous Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival.
The proceeds of the event will go to Bridgwater Carnival, along with the Rotary Foundation and other needy charities.
Mr Hocking will speak about the carnival float constructed for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in London, including the float build-up, entry and experience.
The evening, which starts at 6.30pm for 7pm, will include a two-course meal and coffee.
Attendance is by advance booking only and those wishing to take part are advised to contact the organisers as soon as possible.
To reserve you place, contact any Yeovil Rotary member or e-mail brianmurraylls@aol.com
