AN independent interiors and lifestyle store has opened in Ilminster this week.

Sophie Martin had been running Andrassy Living online for eight years before deciding to also operate out of a shop in East Street.

Following a drinks evening on Tuesday (July 19), Sophie opened the doors to welcome her first clients the following day.

The business sells "a carefully curated selection of homeware, ladieswear, jewellery and gifts that stand out from the crowd".

Sophie said: "Our customers can expect a shopping experience that inspires and delights - we can't wait to see you in Ilminster.

"I started Andrassy Living because, although I’ve dipped in and out of the world of interior design over the years, it’s really the final flourishes that excite me.

"It’s the accessories that give our homes personality and there’s nothing better than discovering unique and beautiful items to dress our homes up with.

"Since starting the website back in 2014, I have always dreamt of opening a bricks and mortar store alongside my online shop and that dream is now being realised."

She added: "At Andrassy Living, it's all about understated elegance.

"I love muted tones with splashes of colour, Nordic style and anything that stands out from the crowd.
