CHARD Town Council and Genius PR and Events are hosting their second Comedy Night at the Chard Guildhall on July 16.
Trish Caller from Genius PR and Events said: "We have put together a fabulous line-up for this first show.
"Our MC is Tom Glover, from Axminster. A local act who is very popular on the UK comedy circuit. He is an incredible MC and local people love him!"
The opening act is Natalie Durkin; a bubbly, anecdote-driven comedian.
Her exuberant observational style gives her an excuse to talk about her pansexual love life without being asked if she's pregnant.
The middle act is a chap called Jacob Nussey. He is an up-and-coming comic on the Midlands circuit.
Jacob is already making waves reaching the Semi-Finals of British Comedian of the Year 2021 and Semi-Finals of So You Think You’re Funny 2021.
The headline act for the show on July 16 is Eddy Brimson.
An winning comedian on the UK circuit, Eddy Brimson has a colourful past as a self-confessed former football hooligan before turning his hands to better use as a writer and comedian.
Eddy has written a host of amusing anecdotal books, penned and hosted a top three selling video ‘Teargas and Tantrums’, and is also a regular on numerous radio and TV shows.
Eddy was also a presenter on the Bravo TV show The Basement covering topics as varied as the British Lawn Mower Grand Prix to a live hair transplant.
Trish and the team at The Guildhall have plans to bring regular, top-class comedy and other entertainment acts to Chard.
Tickets just £10 and available from Eventbrite - https://bit.ly/3nGc0YT or from the Box Office at The Guildhall Reception.
