The Cotley Inn
Rating: 4.5/5
Where: Wambrook, Chard TA20 3EN
"The service was polite and friendly from the start. Our table was at one end of the venue but we were never forgotten.
"We had our two kids with us and even though they do not show you a kids menu, they offer small dishes of key favourites such as fish and chips and burgers, but to a much higher standard!
"The kids fish and chips, for example, had home made mushy peas and deliciously home made tartare sauce, and the fish was perfectly cooked!"
The Stonemasons
Rating: 3.5/5
Where: The Stonemasons Harts Close, Ilminster TA19 9DJ
"Not fine dining but reasonable, hot, nicely presented food. I had fish & chips & it was better than many other places - batter was crisp all through & the fish wasn't dry; the chips were hot & crisp."
