CREWKERNE & District Museum & Heritage Centre said a fond farewell to long-serving volunteer Simon Colledge.
Simon had volunteered with the centre for 20 years working with the collection and serving as a trustee, chairing meetings over recent years.
Volunteers have appreciated Simon and his wife Robina’s encouragement and support and wish them well in their move to be nearer their family.
The museum also held its first special exhibition this year, called Queen and Community.
The museum also held an exhibition to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee
Photographers were asked to produce work relating to a variety of themes and the impressive results are on show at Crewkerne Heritage Centre until April 30.
The exhibition celebrates 70 years of the Queen’s service to the country and also that of 20 local groups that use volunteers to create support and activities for people in the area.
The exhibition is open until 18 June. Visits from groups including schools are welcome. The museum is open to the public Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-4pm.
