AROUND 100 children attended a play event in Chard on Saturday (March 26).
The Train Play event at The Guidlhall in Chard was a 'great success'.
Organisers, Emily and Steve Athawes from The Train Play Team, said: "The Guildhall in Chard is a relatively new venue for us but a successful one at that.
"We had in the region of 100 children attend on Saturday and the event was a great success with parents and carers already booking our next event in Honiton.
"We hope to be back in Chard around June time, but we are constantly adding new events on our Facebook page Trainplaydevon."
Train Play Devon started in 2018 and has gone from just eight children in a scout hut to more than 100 children at each event.
"We have always encouraged play with our own children and hope that this filters through to the children that attend our Train Play Devon events," added Emily and Steve.
"We also encourage social inclusion and as you can see from our event on Saturday all the children get along famously when they play with trains."
