VISITORS enjoyed a trip to the Forde Abbey Spring Plant and Gardening Fair on Sunday (March 6).
There were 22 specialist nurseries and garden sundries stalls from around the South West, and more than 1,200 visitors.
Paul Pudi, from Forde Abbey, said visitors were queuing at 9.30am, despite the fair starting at 10.30am.
"The plant fair kicked off with plenty of sunshine despite the chilly east wind, the warmth opened all the naturalised crocuses and wild daffodils on our lawns," he said.
"The visitors had a very enjoyable day walking around the 30acre garden soaking up some sunshine.
"They all went home with bags of wonderful plants, seeds, and gardening tools at the end of the fair.
"A very successful day was had by all."
